New joinee ESIC registration: one link to share

Send this page to every new joinee. It shows what to keep ready and how to validate Aadhaar on time.

What changed

Three things every joinee should know

  • Aadhaar-only registration

A new Insured Person is registered through Aadhaar. Details must match UIDAI records.

  • OTP on the mobile

The mobile number is validated at registration and the OTP goes to it later. Use the number they actually use.

  • Validate within 30 days

Aadhaar validation within 30 days of registration keeps benefits uninterrupted.

Why we push this. In our experience, Insured Persons not validated in time get deactivated.
Collect in one go

Details to give HR

Give everything at registration. Adding or changing details later needs ESIC's approval and usually takes a month or more.

Within 30 days of registration

Validate Aadhaar on the ESIC Health Connect app

  1. Install the app

    ESIC Health Connect.

  2. Verify Insurance Number

Choose this option and enter the Insurance Number.

  3. Get and enter the OTP

It arrives on the registered mobile.

  4. Face authentication

Do the face scan, accept the declaration and proceed.

  5. Status: Verified

It shows on the e-Pehchan card.

Details do not match? The request goes through the employer and the ESIC branch for approval and a reference number is generated. Wrong details have to be corrected, so tell us at once.
The employer or the branch manager can also validate with a biometric device, at registration or later.
Quick answers
ESIC's manual says validation within 30 days of registration is mandatory for uninterrupted benefits. Validate at once, and if the period has passed, let us know so we can look at the case.
Use the name exactly as on Aadhaar. ESIC's manual notes that the details stored with ESIC must be the same as those received from UIDAI for validation to succeed.
Collect the earlier number so the records are linked and not duplicated.
